| Why is balancing my immune system beneficial to my overall health? | |
Many diseases often result from an imbalance in our natural immune response being overactivated, but a great many people suffer disease as a result of their immunity being “overstressed”, wherein one or more components of their immune response can become overwhelmed or under-responsive. This can occur as a result of prolonged physical & emotional external stressors, inadequate nutrition or imbalances in the endocrine system. Likewise, should the body be dealing with an imbalanced immune system, it has an increased likelihood of developing disease. If the body is constantly fighting disease, it can further weaken the immune system resulting in even greater disease pressure. We are talking here, cardiovascular & gastrointestinal as well as autoimmune and infectious. |
