Gold Medalist, Captain of the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team, and busy mother of two, Christie Rampone joins forces with Embria Health Sciences, the makers of dietary supplement ingredient EpiCor®, to spread the message of the importance of maintaining a strong immune system

Embria Health Sciences, a leader in providing safe and science-based dietary supplement ingredients to the global marketplace, has decided to “up their game.” The company, which manufactures and sells the popular immune strength ingredient EpiCor®, which is formulated into dozens of dietary supplement products worldwide, has recently signed Christie Rampone as a spokesperson.

Ms. Rampone counts among her accomplishments four Olympic medals (three Gold medals, One Silver medal), Team Captain of U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, and a World Cup Championship. She is currently the most-capped active female soccer player in the world. This iron-woman, who is affectionately known as “Captain America” by her teammates, has her eyes set on competing in an unprecedented fifth World Cup (2015) and fifth Olympic Games (2016).

For Christie, the reason for joining the EpiCor team is simple, “I starting taking EpiCor before the 2013 Algarve Cup, which is always a tough tournament due to the tough winter weather, demanding travel, and fierce competition. This year, I felt great…so much better than during prior Algarve's, and the only difference to my regimen this time was taking EpiCor. That's what made me a true believer in EpiCor."

Embria president Paul Faganel sees this association with a legendary athlete like Rampone as a statement to Embria’s commitment to reach and influence consumers. “Embria has invested heavily in gold-standard science supporting EpiCor’s efficacy and safety over the years. As a leader in the immune health space, we believe it’s important to grow awareness of the EpiCor brand and ‘immune strength’ positioning with consumers. Direct communication with consumers directly translates into purchase intent for all our partners who sell EpiCor supplements.”

The association with Ms. Rampone will include name and likeness rights as well as innovative public relations campaigns and grass roots social media and social network efforts, handled by The Abbi Agency in Reno, Nev.

“Christie is someone who is both relatable and inspirational,” says Doug Reyes, Embria’s Sales and Marketing Manager. “As a wife and busy mother of two who tries to balance home life and work life, Christie can relate the message of the importance of maintaining a strong immune system to millions of working men and women who struggle to hold it all together.” In any endorsement situation, authenticity is important. “What makes this relationship powerful is that Christie became a fan of EpiCor first before agreeing to endorse the ingredient,” says Reyes.
